Founder and resident master instructor Tim Sherer has personally taught more than 30,000 beginner surfing students here on Maui. A formal education and a relationship with the ocean have been important parts of his life since early childhood.  His enthusiasm and joy for both have earned him a university degree and resume filled with surfing experiences around the world. 

Tim holds certifications from the Maui Red Cross in Lifeguard Training, CPR and First Aid.   He possesses a wealth of knowledge and coaching ability to offer the aspiring student.  His teaching approach is very patient, positive and adaptable towards the needs of each individual.  Our primary priorities are the goals and concerns of our students, safety, learning, and fun!  If you are interested in learning to surf from one of the best, Tim’s reputation in the field is virtually unparalleled.
