Day Tour - Halekala Volcano to Beach Bike Journey Enjoy the late morning on Haleakala on this Day Journey. Your tour begins at the summit of Haleakala and ends 38 miles later at Paia Bay Beach Park in the town of Paia. You will begin at the volcano's summit, where you can see for miles and miles. Then it’s down the mountain, where you’ll end up at Baldwin Beach in Paia. This excursion includes a tour of the House of the Sun Visitor’s Center and Haleakala Visitor Center. Your guides will provide you with interesting stories about the history and geology of the world's largest dormant volcano.
